HALSTEAD - Mary Ann Koehn, 74, died April 20, 2007, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.

She was born Aug. 4, 1932, in Halstead, the daughter of Clarence Arthur "Tobe" and Louella Marie Lentz Farber. A lifetime resident of Halstead, she was a homemaker. She belonged to First Mennonite Church, Halstead.

On Aug. 7, 1954, she married Boyd M. KOEHN in Newton. He survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Mike and Tom, both of Halstead; a daughter, Julie Nightingale, Hesston; a brother, Robert Farber, Halstead; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jessica Ann Koehn.

Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at First Mennonite Church, Halstead, with the Rev. Cleo Koop presiding. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead. Burial will be in Halstead Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the church or Halstead Cemetery Association, in care of the funeral home.

RANSOM - Delma Pearl Ummel, 98, died June 15, 2007, at Memorial Home, Moundridge. She was born April 8, 1909, in Sylvan Grove, the daughter of George and Anna Molly Farr. She was a homemaker. She belonged to the First Mennonite Church, Ransom.

On Oct. 19, 1931, she married Elmer UMMEL, in Ness City. He died in December 2003.

Survivors include: two daughters, Beverly Grant, Pasadena, Calif., and Rosemary Hinz, North Newton; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the First Mennonite Church, Ransom, with the Rev. Eric Buller presiding. Memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Memorial Home, Moundridge. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present at 7 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City. Private burial will be in Ransom Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the First Mennonite Church or Special Care Unit Memorial Home, both in care of the funeral home.

HILLSBORO - Loretta Reiswig, 89, died Oct. 23, 2007, at Hillsboro Community Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 9, 1918, in Harvey, N.D., the daughter of Charlie F. Faul and Caroline Seibel Faul. She was a restaurant owner and cook.
She belonged to Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church.
On Aug. 20, 1954, she married Bart REISWIG in Harvey, N.D. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two sons, Rodney, Clinton Township, Mich., and Gordon, Hillsboro; a daughter, Marcia Williams, Hillsboro; three brothers; five sisters; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by six brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church, Hillsboro, with Pastor Gaylord Goertzen presiding. Family will receive guests from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jost Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Ebenfeld Cemetery, rural Hillsboro. Memorials may be sent to Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church, in care of the funeral home.

Loretta Reiswig, 89, died Oct. 23, 2007, at Hillsboro Community Medical Center, Hillsboro.

Born Feb. 9, 1918, at Harvey, N.D., she was the daughter of Charlie and Caroline (Seibel) Faul.

On Aug. 20, 1954, she married Bert REISWIG at Harvey, N.D.

She was a restaurant owner and cook and member of Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband; six brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Rodney Faul of Clinton Township, Mich., and Gordon Reiswig of Hillsboro; daughter, Marcia Williams of Hillsboro; three brothers; five sisters; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Saturday afternoon at Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church with Pastor Gaylord Goertzen officiating. Burial was in Ebenfeld Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established with the church.

WORLAND, Wyo. - Lydia Helen Keller, 91, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, at Worland Healthcare & Rehab Center.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 30, at Zion Lutheran Church with Dr. Ralph Partelow officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Worland.
The casket will be open at the church Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to service time.
Veile Mortuary is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
Lydia was born Aug. 10, 1916, in Scottsbluff a daughter of Henry and Mollie (Temple) Feagler. She was raised on a farm and attended a rural school near Scottsbluff. She dropped out of high school in the ninth grade to work as a nanny and housekeeper.
She met Harry KELLER, fell in love, and married him March 7, 1937, in Scottsbluff. The couple then worked for farmers at Gering and Mitchell. In 1943 they started farming on their own at Gering. They moved to Torrington in 1947 to farm, and in 1953 to Lingle, Wyo. They returned to Scottsbluff for a short time, and in 1961 they moved to Veteran, Wyo. to farm in partnership with their son and son-in-law.
In 1966 they moved to Worland to farm the Banjo Ranch southeast of town. After retiring in 1976, the couple moved into town.
Lydia loved to crochet and knit, to work in her rose garden, and enjoyed making rye bread for her family and friends. She loved the time that she could spend with her grandchildren. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Worland.
Survivors include her daughter, Joann Bower of Worland; son, Jim (Dottie) Keller of Ft. Collins, Colo.; grandchildren, Wayne (Anne) Bower of Kuna, Idaho, Michael Bower and Tami (Vince) Salzman of Worland, Colleen Ferguson and Jolene (Wes) Mayfield both of Windsor, Colo.; great-grandchildren, Josh Hunter, Kyle Ferguson, Wade and Shane Bower, Jace and Vicki Salzman, Spencer Bower, and Jake Mayfield; brothers, Henry Feagler, Lawrence Feagler, and Leroy Feagler all of Torrington, Wyo.; and sisters, Irene Hoffman and Ruth Feagler both of Scottsbluff.
Preceding her in death were her parents, an infant granddaughter, her husband in 2004, and her son-in-law Larry Bower in 2006.

Hulda Wegener, 96, died Aug. 7, 2007, at her home
She was born Nov. 8, 1910, in Rockford, Wash., the daughter of August and Dorothy Schneider Ficken. She was a Hutchinson resident since 1949. She attended Blue Hill (Neb.) High School and Lutheran Institute, Hastings, Neb., in 1931. She was a homemaker. She belonged to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
On Aug. 6, 1933, she married William H. WEGENER at Blue Hill, Neb. He died July 29, 1994.
Survivors include: two sons, Dean William and wife, Lois, Tuscola, Texas, and David Ernest and wife, Marianne, Costa Mesa, Calif.; a daughter, Virginia Bade and husband, Bill, Metamora, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two infant children; and a sister, Helen Ficken.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Thomas B. Mendenhall presiding. Burial will be at 5 p.m. in Lutheran Church Cemetery, Norton. Memorials may be sent to the Lutheran Hour, Hospice Care of Kansas or Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, all in care of Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

Mrs. Johanna Fleck, of Bowdon, resident there for the past few years, died at her home on April 25th, and was buried from Bowdon last week. Rev. Wahl of Jamestown had charge of the services as Rev. Seibel, the local minister was sick.
Mrs. Fleck was born June 20th, 1860 at Krim, Russia, being married and coming to the United States later. She is survived by six children, they being: Emilie Reider of Bowdon; Mrs. Anton Meckler of California; Mrs. Nathan Winitzky of Goodrich; Joe Fleck, Edwin Fleck and Jonathan Fleck of Beiseker, Alberta, Canada.
Out of town relatives who attended the funeral were her brother-in-law, George Fleck, Sr., and his sons George, Jr., Matt, Joe and John Fleck and their families. Other attendants included Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Moser, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Meckler, Mrs. Peter Heckenleible, Mrs. John Haas and Mr. and Mrs. David Oxt.
Burial was made in the Bowdon Adventist cemetery with Nathan Winnitsky, John Suckut, George, Matt, Joe and John Fleck acting as pallbearers.

WICHITA - Barbara L. Suderman, 52, died Aug. 10, 2007, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, Wichita.
She was born Sept. 16, 1954, in Portsmouth, Va., the daughter of James and Joanne Flippin. She was a legal secretary. She was a volunteer for the Lord's Diner.
On April 29, 1997, she married David SUDERMAN in Wichita. He survives.

Harold Foos - July 5, 1922-July 10, 2007 - Age: 85 - Residence: Longmont
Tribute: Harold "Shorty" Foos was born in Fort Morgan to John and Dorothea (Weitzel) Foos. He was raised on farms in the Hudson area and graduated from Hudson High School.
After finishing high school, he was drafted by the U.S. Army. He served in the Pacific Theater until the end of World War II. On June 1, 1942, he married Marjorie Mey WORKMAN in Keenesburg. She is deceased.
Mr. Foos returned from the war to join the family farming, before leasing his own farms. In addition to raising crops, he raised livestock and had a number of dairy cattle. He later went into veterinary supply sales with Phillips 66's pharmaceutical division.
Mr. Foos was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Brighton and the American Legion.
Mr. Foos died Tuesday at Life Care Center in Longmont.
Survivors: A daughter, Pamla Howard and husband Roy of Longmont; a grandson, Curtis Howard and wife Kristy of Plano, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Ansley and Anthony Howard, both of Plano; and a sister, Elsie Mazzocco of Arvada.
Preceded in death by: His wife; a son, Richard Foos; a grandson, Craig Howard; five brothers, Jacob, Henry, Edward, Herb and Nick Foos; and two sisters, Mollie Schalnus and Elizabeth Weimer.
Memorial services: 2 p.m. Monday at Howe Mortuary Chapel, 439 Coffman St., Longmont. Cremation.
