Survivors: son, Daniel; her parents, Tony and Rose of Fort Collins; three sisters, Debbie Aberle Drohman of Jacksonville, Fla., Carol Carroll (and Keven) of Nunn, and Roberta "Birdie" Oine (and David) of Aurora; two grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Was cremated.

"Shorty" was born April 21, 1925 in Broadwater, one of nine children born to Pietro and Domenica (Ricco) Amateis. Married Lucille STRICKER, March 11, 1950. LeRoy was born on April 9, 1926, in Fargo, N.D., the son of Adelbert and Viola (Bartleson) Ames. George and Mary were a part of the German contingent who had immigrated to the Colfax area from Russia in the early 1900s. Married Elmina LOWE, in Nov. 1941. Elmina died in 1991. He is survived by his sons, Don of Colfax and Bob of Shelton.
