Surviving are four sons: John A. , Davenport; Joseph J., Hays, Kas., William F. of Honolulu and Clarence C. Pelzel, Davenport; and two daughters Mrs. Lydia Ruder and Mrs. Irene McNamara, both of Kansas City.

NOTE: Josephine is the daughter of Johannes and Elizabeth Leikham Staab of Catherine, Ellis County Kansas. The Davenport Daily Times gives the wrong name of her husband and daughter. Burial was in Holy Family Cemetery in Davenport, Scott County, Iowa.

Edward Oberst Stoudt, 92, of Billings passed asway on June 26, 2008. Edward was born on April 28, 1916, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the son of Emil and Frances Stoudt. At age 11 Edward lost his mother. Arrangements came with a blessing of "Hattie Svobota" a mother pro tem who helped raise him. Edward lost his wife Rosemary after 10 years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents and four children, Michael and George Stoudt, Mary Bailey and Daniel Sanders. Edward is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Joyce STOUDT, his children Edward Stoudt, Jr., John (Sandy) Stoudt, Katherine Stoudt, Mary (Michael) Katsampes, stepchildren Paul (Diane) Sanders, Rebecca Sanders and Catherine Sanders. MOUNDRIDGE — Myron D. “Mike” Stucky, 70, died Thursday (Dec. 11, 2008) in Moundridge. Born Aug. 20, 1938, in Halstead to Dan T. and Anna M. Krehbiel Stucky. Married Barbara K. SCHRAG in Moundridge. She survives of Moundridge. Other survivors include his son, Gregory and Karen Stucky of Moundridge; daughters, Tamera Holt of Hesston and Polly and Fred Schrag of Moundridge; brothers, Edwin and Dorothy Stucky of Moundridge, and Leroy and Kay Stucky of Inman; sisters, Helen and Harold Montgomery of Moundridge, Joyce and B.C. Dirks of Moundridge, and Marianne and Kenroy Janzen of Rapid City, S.D.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harvey and Dan Jr.; and sister, Ethel Stucky.

Ruth Ann Stucky, 88, died June 21, 2008, at Thorne Care Center. Born June 27, 1919, at the family home near Murdock, Kan., the daughter of Peter H. and Mary Krehbiel Stucky. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Irvin, Paul, Eldon and Walton Stucky; a sister, Frieda Allen; and three nephews, Dennis Stucky, Lael Allen and Wayne Stucky. She is survived by three nieces, Pat Wiard, Clermont, Fla., Paula Stein, Halstead, and Mary Garcia, Hutchinson; two nephews, Ron Stucky, Hot Springs Village, Ark., and David Stucky, Murdock; and 19 great-nieces and -nephews.

Survivors include; four sons, Ted, Robert, Richard, and Ralph; a daughter, Barbara Daughety; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Marie Grover-Dingman, 90, of Billings, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008. Marie was born June 16, 1918, to John Stumph and Annette Sonnenfeld Stumph in Mobridge, S.D. Married Francis GROVER. They later divorced, and she married Herbert A. DINGMAN, SR,. She is survived by her son, Bob Grover and his wife Charlotte of Billings; two grandchildren, Sondi (Kurt) Cadlo of Billings, John Grover of Moorcroft, Wyo.; and three great-grandsons, Scott Cadlo, Ryan Cadlo and Jason Cadlo. All three great-grandsons are serving in the U.S. Navy. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; a half-sister, Joan; and a half-brother, Jimmie; and her husband, Herb Dingman.

Mrs. Sweeney died on July 12, 1971. He and Jessie H. CLOE were married in May of 1973 in Condon. Besides his wife, Jessie of Corvallis, Mr. Sweeney is survived by a stepson Merv Cloe of Reedsport, a stepdaughter Peggie Flatt of Condon, a brother Glenn of Lake Oswego; one sister Vivian Sweeney of Condon; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
