Benjamin F. Brack (1892 - 1984) was the founder of the East Heights Methodist Church, discovered the Hugoton Gas field, and is known from the Kansas Oil and Gas Hall of Fame. He is the grandson of Phillip Brack (said to be the earliest know Brack in Pobotschnaya Russia). Benjamin was born in Otis, Kansas. As an adult he and his family lived in Kansas: Galatia, Hoisington, and Wichita. While in Colorado they lived in Denver and Fort Collins.

OMAHA, Neb. — Alva L. Buller, 92, died Thursday (May 20, 2010) in Omaha.   Born on Sept. 19, 1917, in Fairview, Okla., to Benjamin and Anna (Loewen) Buller.  Married MARTHA MAE ECK on April 26, 1942. She died on Aug. 5, 1991.  Survivors include daughters Evonne K. Buller and Janice L. Penner, both of Omaha; sister, Bernice Hiebert of Whitewater; sister-in-law, Frieda Eck of Newton; sister-in law, Wanda Buller of Broken Bow, Okla..

HILLSBORO - Bud Buller, 83, died Sept. 10, 2010. Was born Aug. 4, 1927, to John A. and Anna Grace Buller.  On Sept. 2, 1951, he married GLADYS FRIESEN. She survives. Other survivors include: sons, Brad, Mike and Jon; a brother, Ralph Buller; and two grandchildren.

LYONS - Viola R. Buller-Weinmeister, 97, died Jan. 29, 2010, at  Hutchinson, Kansas.  Born June 6, 1912, in Hillsboro, to Jacob and Katharina Thiessen Buller.   Married EMIL R. WEINMEISTER. He died Oct. 22, 1963. Survivors include: a son, Rod and wife Sue, Hutchinson; two grandchildren, Sheri Galliart and husband Shawn, Hutchinson, and Mark Weinmeister, Portland, Ore.; and three great-grandchildren, Emily, Matthew and Sam Galliart, all of Hutchinson.  Preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Solomon and Ruth were married 43 years.  Survivors include her daughters, Linda (Don) Christensen of Lafayette, Colo. and Helen (Larry) Leonard of Billings, Mont.; brother, Walt (Donna) Burback of Gering; sister, Laurene (Leo) Sprague of Wray, Colo.; five grandchildren; Candi (Paul) Ossowski of Sidney, Mont., Bobbi Christensen of Lafayette, Colo., Lisa and Larissa Leonard of Las Vegas, Nev., and Amanda Leonard of Boulder, Colo.; and great-grandchildren, Caleb and Hannah Ossowski of Sidney, Mont.   Preceding her in death was her husband Solomon; son, Fred; parents, John and Anna; sister, Esther and brother, Raymond.

Norman Burgardt, 86, Hays, died Saturday, April 3, 2010, at his home in Cedarview Assisted Living.  Born Oct. 11, 1923, in Hays to Jacob and Angela (Leiker) Burgardt.   Married ALFREDA HERRMAN on April 30, 1945. She preceded him in death Nov. 2, 2008.  Survivors include three sons, Glen Burgardt and wife, Lois, Omaha, Neb., Gorden Burgardt and wife, Pam, Hays, and Duane Burgardt and wife, Ledgie, Great Bend; a daughter, Gay Werth and husband, Arlen, Great Bend; two brothers, Earl, San Antonio, and Jim, Wichita; a sister, Mary Ann Gebert, Hays; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by a brother, Edward Burgardt; and a half-brother, Nick Arnold.
