Edwin J. Fadenrecht, 89, of Hillsboro died Aug. 13  (2010) at Hillsboro Community Hospital.  Born Dec. 1, 1920, in Alsen, N.D., to John B. and Lizzie (Enns) Fadenrecht.   Married HELEN FAUL Oct. 1, 1944. She survives.  Two brothers, John J. and Bennie, and a sister, Minnie Neufeld, preceded him in death. Other survivors include a son, Kirby, of Hillsboro; a daughter, WillaJean Reddig of Winnipeg, Canada; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He died July 8, 1988.  Survivors include: four sons, Merle Koehn, West Point, Miss., Richard Koehn, Dumas, Ark., Virgil Koehn, Aberdeen, Miss., and Dale Koehn, Campbellsburg, Ind.; three daughters, Dorothy Neufeld, Marion, Kan., Violet Jantz, West Point, Miss, and Lucille Wedel, Aberdeen, Miss.; 22 grandchildren; and 59 great-grandchildren.

Fegler, 77, died at his home June 14, 2010.  Born Dec. 15, 1932, on a farm near Minatare to Pete and Molly (Keller) Fegler.   Married SHIRLEY REICHEL in June of 1955.  After Shirley's death in 1978 he married MARY LOU BERNHARDT on July 28, 1979.    Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou of Torrington; children, Tim Fegler of Torrington; Sharon (Rob) Betzold of Scottsbluff and Randy (Lisa) Bernhardt of Fort Collins, Colo.; brother, Harry (Irene) Fegler of Riverton, Wyo.; grandchildren, Travis; Thomas and Trisha Fegler, Joey Betzold; Rachel and Hunter Bernhardt and Hank (Sarah) Mowry.   His parents, first wife Shirley, four sisters and five brothers preceded him in death.

ARLINGTON - Maxine Locke, 96, died January 27, 2010, at  Hutchinson.  Born April 25, 1913, in Syracuse, KS, the daughter of Arba Clayton and Blanche Wallis Groome Ferris.   Married LORIE LOCKE on September 12, 1943, in Conway, Kansas. He preceded her in death on December 30, 2004.  Survivors include: a son, Mark and his wife, Darlene, Manassas Park, Va.; two daughters, Loreen McMillan, husband, Jim, and Connie Locke, both of Topeka; five grandchildren, Robert and Timothy Locke, Loren McMillan, Wayne Pendarvis and Charlene Rutherford; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and two brothers-in-law, Gale Locke and wife Agnes, Arlington, and Gene Locke, South Hutchinson.  Preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Madeline Nelson, Lucille Anderson, Lois Juanita Ferris and a brother, Robert Ferris.

Jon and Janet Flickinger, Salina, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, Aug. 8, 2010.

Children of the couple are Jamie Farmer and husband, Larry, Salina, Julie Hudson and husband, Gary, Argyle, Texas, Marty Flickinger and wife, Traci, Topeka, and Jered Flickinger and wife, Tracy, Salina.

Grandchildren of the couple are Jessica Nelson and husband, C. Brett, Dallas; Michael Anderson and wife, Betsy, and Garrett and Braden Anderson, all of Salina; Lindsey, Jordan and Aubrey Flickinger, Topeka; and a step-grandson, A.J. Farmer, Salina.  They made their home in Hays until 1968, when they moved to Salina. They owned and worked together at JMF Electronics and Xetec Inc., in Salina where Jon was an electronic engineer and Janet was the office manager. They retired in 1995. Brack, 78, of Great Bend, died Jan. 3 (2011) at  Ellinwood.   Born May 4, 1932, at Tulsa, Okla., the daughter of George Wellington and Alice Julia (Miller) Foster.  Survivors include one son, Wayne Doug Brack and wife Joyce of Great Bend; one daughter, Debra Parks and husband Kelly of Valley Center; one brother, George Foster Jr. and wife Pat of Howe, Okla.; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Private family inurnment will be at Hoisington Cemetery in Hoisington.
