Oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Friebus, at Ellsworth, Kansas. During the 18 years of her life, she has been a good true christian [sic] and in the sad bereavement her father, mother, brothers and sisters find a great comfort in the fact that she has gone to a land where death is unknown and friends are never parted. The family have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire neighborhood. Funeral services are being held today (Tuesday) in the German Lutheran Church. Thou art gone, our own dear loved one, To a fairer home than this; To a land of light and sunshine, To the heaven of thy bliss; But the ties of earth are broken, Till we meet with God above, Where we know but joy and gladness, Life and light and peace and love. School was dismissed Tuesday afternoon and all attended the funeral of their deceased school-mate, Miss Anna Friebus.
