Eldest daughter of Remmer and Louisa Janssen. On October 19, 1909, she was united in marriage to Adam GALLIART at Clafliln. To this union were born five children, two sons, Leo and Glenn, and two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Rice and Mrs. Edna Unruh, all of Larned survive her. Another son, Lt. Fred Galliart, was killed in action in the Italian Campaign October 25, 1944. Her father, mother, and two brothers, Deitrich and William preceded her in death. Besides her husband, two sons and two daughters she is survived by five grandchildren, her step-mother Mrs. Albina Janssen of Holyrood; seven sisters, Mrs. Lucy Mlyner of Hoisington; Mrs. Fred Walters of McPherson,; Mrs. Ralph Pitzer of Fayetfille, Ark.; Mrs. John McCarey of Manhattan; Mrs. Howard Bossing of Claflin; Mrs. Martin Mehl and Mrs. Floyd Call of Holyrood; and four brothers, Oren Janssen of Solomon; Ed Janssen of Richland, Wash.; Raymond Janssen of Holyrood; and Alfred Janssen of San Diego, Calif.; and other relatives and many friends. Music was provided by the Ladies quartet of the Zook Methodist Church, Mrs. Alfred Posey, Mrs. Harry Colglazier, Mrs. Orva Chesterman, and Mrs. Agnes Zook. Pallbearers were men who had been neighbors of the Galliart family while living on the farm southeast of Larned: Fred Doll, Owen Smith, Hugh Bowman, Walter Fergus, Morgan Yeager and Clarence Buhrer. She was preceded in death by a sister, Flora Jean Carlson. Survivors include two sons, Verlin Richert of Assaria and Bentley Richert of Abbyville; two daughters, Krystal Jensen of Roxbury and Annette Goering of Great Bend; four brothers, Fiennes Jantz of Durham, Manford Jantz of Connecticut, Gerald Jantz of Utah, and Kenneth Jantz of Arizona; six sisters, Geneva Stucky of McPherson, Evelyn Potts, Donna Phillips, Shirley Branch, Joan Huntoon, and Sharon Wisdom, all of Wichita; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Helen Ensz Jantzen, as well as all of her seven siblings and their spouses. She is survived by four sons, Marvin and his wife, Ruth, of Newton; Harold and his wife, Barbara, of Akron, Pa.; Milbert and his wife, Ruth, of Indianapolis; and Tim and his wife, Faith, of Harper. She also is survived by one brother-in-law, Frank Penner, and two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Reimer and Margaret Boyce, all of Beatrice. At the time of her death, Bertha had nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Internment in the Mennonite cemetery at the church.

Born Jan. 24, 1913, at Hooker, Okla., she was the daughter of John and Helena (Baerg) Jost. On April 28, 1935, she married Leo J. GOENTZEL at Hillsboro. He died in 1981.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Goentzel. Survivors include two sons, LeRoy Goentzel of Denver, Colo., and Charles Goentzel of Wichita; two daughters, Jane Eitzen of Fairview, Okla., and Allene Schultz of Granger, Ind.; brother, Harold Jost of Hillsboro; three sisters, Edna Janzen of Newhall, Calif., Ellen Ewy of Reedley, Calif., and Melinda Smith of Lansdale, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Ebenfeld Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.

Son of George S. and Elizabeth Schroeder Jost. On Sept. 3, 1950, he married Nellie HAMM at Hooker, Okla. Survivors include his wife, Nellie of Hillsboro; two sons, Richard and Kelly Jost of Goessel and Russell Jost and Edy Brundage of Hillsboro; four daughters, Jolene and Don Aaron of Peoria, Ariz., Corrine Foth of Hillsboro, Carla and Tom Harmon of Durham, and Kris Jost of Wichita; four brothers, Marvin Jost and Larry Jost of Hillsboro, Lee Jost of Henderson, Neb., and Dean Jost of Aurora, Neb.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Grace Jost; and two grandchildren, Shane Foth and Gary Debbrecht. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in French Creek Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.

Born to Martin and Bertha (Golbek) Jost on a farm two miles west of Hillsboro. They preceded him in death. He married Helen Childs Nov. 5, 1934, in Shafter, Calif. She preceded him in death Oct. 1, 1997. Survivors include: a son, Gerald Jost of Whitewater; two brothers, Chester Jost and Ted Jost, both of Bakersfield, Calif.; a sister, Helen Malin of Hillsboro; and two grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters.

She was the eighth of nine children born to Jacob and Elizabeth (Klassen) Just. On Nov. 15, 1936, she married Ronald HETT at her family home near Aulne. To this union five children were born, Willard, Clifford, Edith Jane, Louise, and Alice. They enjoyed 63 years of marriage until his death. She is survived by her sons Willard,  and Clifford and his wife Evelyn; daughters Edith (Janie) Meierhoff and her husband Thad, Louise Whiteman and her husband Gail, and Alice Nellans and her husband Martin; grandchildren Alan and Susie Hett, Donald and Dawn Hett, Chris and Kathy Meierhoff, Jess and Jarvis Whiteman, Christian and Stacy Pedersen, Neil Hett and Carrie Nellans, Justin Whiteman, Barbara and Gary Alleven, Eileen Hett, Denise and Todd Carter, Audra and Matt Jezewski, and Henrik Pedersen; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Agnes Gaede, brothers Pete, Albert, Irvin, Jake, John, Wesley, and Clarence; daughter-in-law, Alvina Hett; grandsons Cecil Meierhoff and Calvin Hett.  Burial at the Claney Cemetery.
